Borosilicate glass filter holder assemblies for the microanalysis of liquids for biological or particulate contamination under vacuum. The 90mm holder offers an increased filtration area making it ideal for viscous samples and liquids with a heavy particle load or bioburden that would tend to clog a 47mm diameter filter. The anodized aluminum clamp secures the membrane between the funnel and glass base. While the sintered glass frit support base can be used for general filtration, the 304 stainless steel screen is recommended for viscous or proteinaceous solutions to maximize flow rate and the screen ensures particles will not be shed into the filtrate. The 1000mL funnel is graduated. The No.8 silicone stopper mounts in a standard 1L filter flask or manifold cup.
