These thimbles offer the advantages of being rapid, durable and readily cleaned by ignition
4395L15 thimble is used in asphalt extraction apparatus for ASTM Standard D 367; AASHTO T-81; and Barrett tests B-7 and H-5A

Medium porosity thimbles, Norton grade AN-889, retains particles of approximately 5 µm size. Coarse porosity thimbles, Norton grade AN-485, retains particles of approximately 20 µm size.
